GINNY BUTERA '73
I wanted to study Italian and I thought that Dr. Michael Campo was terrific when I went to see Trinity and talk with him. Also, I thought it would be fun to be in the first class of women at a men's college--I was right on both counts!
Sitting in the Dining Hall talking with my friends and climbing up onto the Chapel roof at night freshman year and looking out over the beautiful Quad and campus.
Dr. Michael Campo, Dr. Borden Painter, Hugh Ogden, Dr. Dori Katz.
I learned that it takes at least 3-4 drafts of a paper until it is well written enough and well thought out enough to submit. This is something that I pass on to my students even to this day.
Seeing and talking with my friends Larry Pistell, Aron Pasternak and John Tyler.
The Dialogues of Plato, in a seminar with Drew Hyland. It affected my art historical research, created a desire to question everything, and has influenced my teaching style and my thought processes.
I want to support the excellent educational experience that Trinity can give to other students. I also give so Trinity can support the professors and their research.
