MATTHEW J. CASSARINO '95

I chose to attend Trinity because:
The Trinity College Chapel was visible from one of our previous homes in Wethersfield at night, along with the Traveler's and CityPlace. Thus, it was on my mind from a young age and suggested by teachers in Wethersfield that I apply.

My fondest Trinity memory:
Receiving notification of induction into Phi Beta Kappa.

My favorite Trinity professor:
Professors! My favorites were Professors Ben-Israel, Leach, Evans and Walsh.

Something I learned at Trinity and never forgot:
I learned to structure an essay with a thesis, factual defense and concluding summary. If one uses that template backed with well researched facts, academic success is likely.

I remain connected to Trinity by:
Mostly online and through mail as I was severely injured a couple of years after graduating.

Most memorable book I read while at Trinity:
There were many, but ones that come to mind equally are "Backfire" by Loren Baritz, and "Toward a Patriarchal Republic" by Michael P. Johnson.

I give to Trinity because:
Any donation, no matter the amount, helps the College. I'm aware of well-placed retirees with full careers who have given the same amount as me.
