I liked the professor-student environment it offered beside the academics. I found Trinity to be the best liberal arts college of my interest.
First-Year Seminar with Professor Mertens. There was a lot of workload between lectures and labs, however, it was always exciting to go to class... you never knew what to expect. Class discussions somehow always related to our life experiences. The challenges we encountered have helped me along the way. Seven years later, every time I explore something new, I can relate the same excitement, confidence and inspiration I gained from his seminar to what I do.
It's hard to choose...But the 5 professors that influenced my life were David Ahlgren (Engineering), John Mertens (Engineering), Thomas Harrington (Spanish), Stacey Skar (Spanish) and Moises Castillo (Spanish).
Most of my professors taught me it is never too late to be what you might have been... The self-confidence I gained to take on challenges in my life has helped me in my professional career. I now truly believe in myself and in everything I do thanks to their vote of confidence.
attending Homecoming, events.
"A brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking...Professor Mertens required the book for his seminar, and it was neat to learn about things I never questioned before until I read it.
Thanks to the scholarships I received, I was able to attend Trinity. Now it is my turn to give back to someone else to be able to get the best education, like I did.
