KATHLEEN O'CONNOR BOELHOUWER '85
Someone I admired from high school (Dale Sindell) had gone there; my visit during a snow storm and the warmth I felt from everyone we met; proximity to NY and Boston and the internships available; the ability to perform as a musician while studying other subjects.
They include freshman year in Jackson; my internship at the New York Philharmonic (thanks to Joe Kluger '77); my semester in London, but really in Rome; reading on the Quad; seeing international films at Cinestudio; dancing in Hamlin Hall; Professor Potter taking us to Vermont to discuss the poetry of Frost; all my friends and meeting my future husband.
Gerry Moshell and our first year seminar as well as Borden Painter.
If you show interest in something and ask questions, the professors at Trinity will go any length to work with you.
Working at Trinity and my Trinity family.
My senior seminar class interviewed Fred Pfeil (and recommended him) and he made Pynchon (somewhat) accessible. I loved reading Shakespeare in Professor Hunter's class.
Trinity students are so fortunate to be part of a community where people know who they are and care about who they will become. Trinity does so much and yet does not have the same level of financial support from its alumni (or endowment value) as its peers. We need to build Trinity's financial future; as alumni it is our responsibility.
