CHERYL BERGER '54
Having attended a state college (NY), I wanted to obtain my M.A. from a highly regarded liberal arts college.
Acting with the Trinity Jesters under the direction of George Nichols in such classics as "Oedipus Rex" and "Death of a Salesman", and having English and American literature come alive with the lectures of Dr. J. Bard McNulty, who made connections to art, architecture, politics, and history that were dazzling.
John Dando stands out, but so many of my profs were responsible for expanding my knowledge.
I learned how to write a Master's thesis, and how reading great literature can affect life's choices.
Marriage. I met my husband (of 54 years) at Trinity. We were the first husband/wife to receive our graduate degrees at the same time, as reported in the Hartford Courant.
It is difficult to choose a favorite, since my degree was in literature. I think I'll read "Passage to India" By E.M. Forster again.
My experiences at Trinity were so rewarding in every way.
